The legendary ships in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced are the toughest naval encounters in the game, and defeating all of them is necessary to unlock the Devil of the Caribbean achievement. These ships are positioned at the edges of the map, which means you will not stumble upon them while progressing through the main story and must specifically seek them out.
To help you with that, this article provides the locations of all legendary ships in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
All legendary ship locations in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
There are a total of five legendary ships in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, although the fourth encounter involves two ships fighting you simultaneously. Defeating each ship will reward you with money and exclusive cosmetic items for the Jackdaw.
However, before you undertake this difficult challenge, we recommend that you fully upgrade the Jackdaw and recruit these three officers: Tobias Smith, The Padre, and Lucy Baldwin, as each one features abilities that make these battles considerably more manageable.
Without further ado, here are the locations of each legendary ship in the newest AC title:
El Impoluto

El Impoluto in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is found at coordinates 115, 842, placing it in the northwest corner of the map. It is a hit-and-run fighter that follows a fixed attack cycle, ramming into the Jackdaw head-on, and then pulling away outside of its cannon range. The most effective counter is to match its attack pattern. Simply ram it back when it comes at you while firing burning shots at it. Once it goes out of range, follow up with mortars.
Do note that having Lucy Baldwin on the crew for this fight can be quite helpful, as she can trigger perfect bracing during its ram attacks, negating most of the incoming damage.
La Dama Negra

La Dama Negra can be fought at coordinates 240, 72, in the southwest corner of the map. It is a long-range mortar specialist that relies on attacking with mortar barrages from a distance. However, it has a key weakness: it stops moving while firing its mortars, leaving it completely exposed.
It is recommended to fight the enemy in close quarters with heated shot broadside cannons while bracing against incoming attacks. If you notice the foe pulling away to fire mortars at you, hit it with your own mortar to counter it.
HMS Prince

The HMS Prince in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is found at coordinates 854, 55, in the southeast corner of the map. It combines broadside cannon fire with mortars and introduces a unique mechanic that sets it apart from the other ships.
After each of its three health segments is depleted, HMS Prince vanishes into fog and bombards you with mortar fire for a couple of minutes before reappearing. During these fog phases, you cannot fight it, so focus entirely on survival. Simply circle the area to avoid the mortar barrages and brace when you cannot dodge them. When HMS Prince reappears, use ram-dash to close the gap immediately and then switch to burning shot to maximize damage.
HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign

The HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced are both located at coordinates 811, 858 in the northeast corner of the map and must be defeated together. Both ships feature different colored sails and coordinate their movements throughout the fight, raising the difficulty of this encounter.
The key to winning in this fight is to focus on one ship at a time rather than dividing your attention. The strategy is to use the mortar when both ships make their coordinated turn toward you, followed by a ram-dash to ram into your target. Afterward, brace against the incoming fire while using burning shots and the swivel gun on weak spots.
Do note that once one of the ships is down, the other will become much more aggressive. However, defeating the remaining ship should not prove to be too difficult, as each ship individually has less health than the three encounters mentioned above.
