Muay Thai firecracker ‘Legatron’ Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong of Thailand believes he wasn’t able to give his all the first time he met ‘G-Unit’ George Jarvis in the ONE Championship ring.

Rungrawee dropped a third-round knockout defeat to the electric Englishman at ONE Friday Fights 85 in November 2024. And since that fateful night, ‘Legatron’ has been craving vengeance against Jarvis.

This weekend, he finally gets the chance to attain it. But before that, Rungrawee looked back on their first encounter, and revealed that he suffered an ankle injury mid-fight that compromised his movement and led to his defeat.

‘Legatron’ told the world’s largest martial arts organization in a recent interview:

“In that first fight, I had a really solid plan down, but the turning point came in round two when I hurt my ankle after throwing a kick. After that, I was just biting down on my mouthpiece and pushing through the pain, but then I slipped up and got dropped for a count, and he closed the show with an elbow. It was a tough loss. Honestly, if I hadn’t gotten hurt at that moment, I think I would’ve taken the win.”

Needless to say, redemption is just on the horizon for Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong, and he is confident that he can put together one of the best performances of his career, even the score against Jarvis, and book another world title opportunity against reigning champion Regian Eersel.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Rungrawee back in action inside the ONE Championship ring.

Rungrawee rematches George Jarvis this weekend at ONE Fight Night 44 on Prime Video

‘Legatron’ Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong will run it back with ‘G-Unit’ George Jarvis in a three-round lightweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Fight Night 44: Jarvis vs. Rungrawee II on Prime Video.

The event broadcasts live in U.S. primetime on Friday, June 26, from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
