AEW star Jack Perry didn’t hold back when potential talks about WWE legend CM Punk’s relationship with All Elite Wrestling resurfaced on social media. The Voice of the Voiceless’s absence was the talk of the town last week. Fans have been questioning his absence since WrestleMania 42. Following his main-event defeat against Roman Reigns, he has been absent from the company.
The rumour mill started the rumour about whether the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s time with the global sports entertainment juggernaut has come to an end. However, several reputed reporters addressed the talks and claimed that the Second City Saint is on a break and will return around July. Another shocking report that appeared recently was about the CM Punk-AEW relationship.
It is well known that the Voice of the Voiceless left the Jacksonville-based promotion on bad terms. Punk attacked Jack Perry backstage at the 2023 All In London. The veteran was fired from the company immediately. While many may think he may not return to the company, they may be wrong. A report claimed that Punk might build the bridge he burnt.
Following his report’s release, Jack Perry took to Instagram and uploaded a picture of a burnt bridge. This is a subtle yet clear shot at the recent talk of the CM Punk-AEW relationship.
However, fans aren’t happy with Jack Perry’s social media roast. Many called him a ‘crybaby’ for taking shots at the Second City Saint.
Take a look at some of the reactions below:
Tony Khan wanted to make things right with CM Punk
While speaking on the Coach and Bro Show, Tony Khan said he wanted CM Punk to put the difference aside and ‘work together’. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
“I came out of that wanting for AEW to succeed and for AEW to continue more than anything. And what we were able to do was rebound from that. Obviously, I wanted in a perfect world everybody to be able to get together and work together. I don’t think that would was possible. But I also think that we’ve been able to in the few years to really keep AEW strong,” he said.
It will be interesting to see what is next for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
