Chad Gable returned on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Tonight’s episode of SmackDown aired live from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy.

Gable has been absent from WWE television for some time while portraying the original El Grande Americano character. He lost a Mask vs Mask match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes and can no longer portray the popular persona.

The veteran returned during tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Sami Zayn wanted to meet with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but he was told he would have to wait. Chad Gable then arrived and had a stare down with Zayn before entering Nick Aldis’ office. The crowd started a loud “Gable!” chant as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

Sami Zayn interrupted the promo between Gunther and Cody Rhodes during the opening segment of this week’s episode of SmackDown. Rhodes defeated Gunther at Clash in Italy last weekend to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, the match at the PLE ended in controversy as Gunther had his boot under the ropes during the cover, but the referee didn’t catch it.

Jeff Jarrett claims Chad Gable should be ready to leave WWE

Wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett claims Chad Gable should be ready to leave the company in the near future.

Speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett suggested that he did not envision the promotion giving Gable a push after all these years. He stated that the veteran should be ready to leave the promotion when the time was right.

“I would absolutely leverage (his contract situation), with New Japan having new owners, that’s going to have a WWE influence as well… I just think he needs to keep doing what he’s doing but be ready to leave. I don’t see TKO coming to him and saying, ‘Hey man, you performed great in Monterrey, we’re going to give you a bump.’ I just don’t see that. I think he could monetize his talent more,” he added.

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett believes that Gable needs to be “ready to leave” WWE: “I just don’t see the WWE [pushing him], because he worked under the Vince regime. And obviously now he’s worked under Triple H regime. They’re not all of a sudden magically going to go ‘Oh

Chad Gable was aligned with The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile in Alpha Academy. It will be fascinating to see what the company has planned for the 40-year-old moving forward.
