Ronda Rousey made her return to MMA. A top AEW star has reacted to the huge moment.

Marina Shafir is the latest to comment on Ronda Rousey’s return to MMA. Rousey left the octagon to sign with WWE several years ago. She found immediate success in the sports entertainment juggernaut and even won the Women’s Championship. Although she was dominant in the ring, she was unable to get over with the fans, which caused her to be frustrated. After leaving the WWE, Rousey was vocal in her criticism of the Stamford-based company.

Rousey recently made her return to MMA when she fought Gina Carano at the recent MVP MMA show on May 16. Marina Shafir took to her Instagram Stories to share a clip of Rousey entering the cage for her fight with the following caption:

    “Chills”

Ronda Rousey announced her retirement from MMA

Ronda Rousey was one of the most dominant forces to ever step foot inside an octagon. During the peak of her career, she was unbeatable and reigned as the Women’s Bantamweight Champion in the UFC. She became famous for defeating many of her opponents within seconds in the first round itself. She used the armbar to submit many of her opponents. However, after suffering her first loss to Holly Holm, she wasn’t able to bounce back and moved on to the squared circle instead.

This bout at MVP MMA against Gina Carano marked her return to the sport. She was able to assert her dominance and submit her opponent in 17 seconds. Following the match, Rousey announced her retirement, stating that she wanted to make more babies. ESPN also issued a statement after Rousey announced her retirement.

“RONDA ROUSEY SUBMITS GINA CARANO IN 17 SECONDS TO WIN IN HER MMA RETURN 🤯What a way to finish on a high note in her MMA career,” wrote ESPN.

The former WWE star will always be remembered as an icon in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. It remains to be seen if she will ever return to professional wrestling after her MMA retirement.
