Subnautica 2 developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment has officially revealed the contents of the first two major updates for the Early Access of the game. Update 1.1 will be introducing a decent amount of Quality of Life (QoL) updates and some much-needed additions to the game.
While the update is not intended to add major biomes or story expansion to the Early Access, it is designed to make your overall gameplay experience much better across every available feature of Subnautica 2.
Subnautica 2: Every feature coming with Early Access 1.1

1) Biomod System Improvement
The Biomod system is getting a major mechanic in Subnautica 2, which will be getting a QoL update. The developers at Unknown Worlds Entertainment have yet to reveal any details about any specific feature, but it is confirmed that the system will be receiving planned improvements for a more balanced progression.
It is confirmed that more passive Biomods will be added to the game with patch 1.1. This will give you additional flexibility for your playthrough with better builds for your deep-sea exploration.
2) Blight Encounters
Blights are hazardous conditions in the ocean corrupting both flora and fauna. Patch 1.1 will be adding better and additional Blight encounters across the map. This gives you more dangerous conditions to look forward to in the game.

3) Wreck Gameplay
Wrecks are a key gameplay feature in Subnautica 2. These locations are often packed with rare resources and technology fragments, and with patch 1.1, wrecks can become more rewarding.
4) Fabrication and Vehicle Docking
Progression in the game is tied to vehicles (especially for unlocking rarer items and technilogy), so both Fabrication and Docking will both be getting improvements with patch 1.1. While no specific details have been disclosed by the developers, the patch can improve the maneuverability of the vehicles and the crafting experience of both modules and components.

5) PDA Databank and Voicelogs Priority System
Gathering lore while exploring is central to the overall experience in Subnautica 2, and patch 1.1 will improve upon both PDA Databank entries and prioritize Voicelogs, making the systems much smoother.
Fixing overlapping audio logs will help players have a much better experience while exploring the oceans, along with a much better-organized PDA Databank.

6) Storage Cache
Storage has always been a difficult feature to manage in the game, especially while exploring. Having a better storage and cache system will improve your resource gathering / management experience.
7) Sprint mechanic
Having the ability to sprint in any game is crucial for exploring. In Subnautica 2, while exploring undersea caves and dry landmasses, having the sprint option will make your experience faster and smoother.
Subnautica 2 Early Access 1.1 is just the first of many updates that will eventually be added to the game. While 1.1 is focused on Quality of Life, Early Access 1.2 will revolve around the co-op. Players will have access to voice chat for better communication, various emotes, trading (between co-players), and many more features.
Beyond patch 1.2, Unknown Worlds Entertainment will be adding a new region, entirely new biomes, creatures, resources, vehicles, and tools. You will also have access to the next chapter of the main story.
