    3-time World Champion Sends Four-Word Message Following Blockbuster AEW Return

    A former World Champion sent out a message right after his shocking return to AEW after a brief absence.

    The aforementioned star is the former three-time AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF. The Salt of the Earth’s last televised appearance saw him defend the World title against Kenny Omega at Dynamite: Beach Break. Following a spectacular bout, he lost the title to the Best Bout Machine and went missing for a few weeks.

    However, the wait to see him on television came to an end on the August 5 episode of Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico. After Andrade won his 3-way match to become the #1 entrant in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet at All In 2026, MJF’s entrance music hit, and he came from behind to attack the former WWE United States Champion, who had been in possession of his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

    MJF took out Andrade with his Triple B title and then cut a promo against Andrade and Kenny Omega, and called himself the real World Champion. Friedman then announced that he would compete in a qualifier match next week to determine the #2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet. Furthermore, after his return appearance, Big Hebrew took to his X to send out a four-word message.

    “THE ONE TRUE CHAMPION!!!!”

    After losing the AEW World title, Kenny Omega gave MJF his flowers and praised him for his title reign. However, he also added that he planned to be a champion that event Maxwell would be jealous of.

    “MJF, I will give you credit. You never had to take this match. You never had to defend the belt as much as you did. You never had to show up every single week, but you did. And, as far as I’m concerned, that sets a good example. MJF, not only will I be the best champion I can be, but I’ll be a champion that even you are jealous of,” said Omega.     With MJF back in the mix a month before All In 2026 and setting his sights on the Casino Gauntlet to reclaim the World title, it remains to be seen what happens next.
