Toyota announced prices for the 2027 C-HR start at $37,080, or $2,100 more than its first electric SUV.

After launching the 2026 C-HR last year for the first time with an all-electric powertrain, the sporty SUV is back for a second year as an EV.

The 2027 Toyota C-HR starts at $37,080, or $80 more than last year’s model. It’s also $2,100 more than the 2027 bZ, Toyota’s first electric SUV.

While it’s about 6″ shorter than the bZ, the C-HR comes with standard all-wheel drive (AWD). The dual-motor AWD setup delivers a combined 338 hp, which Toyota says enables it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.

It’s based on the same e-TNGA platform as the bZ, but the C-HR’s flowing body lines and wide stance give it a distinct crossover-coupe-like design.

The interior features Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system, which includes a slim driver’s display and a 14″ central infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The coupe-like design adds a sleek look and opens up interior space with up to 59.5 cubic feet of rear cargo space with the rear seats folded. That’s slightly more than the bZ, which offers up to 56.9 cubic feet.

With an overall length of 177.9″, width of 72.6″, and height of 63.8″, the C-HR is about the size of the Kia Niro EV.

Like Toyota’s other electric SUVs, the C-HR has a native NACS port, enabling drivers to use Tesla Superchargers without an adapter.

Using DC fast charging, the C-HR’s battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. It also includes battery preconditioning to improve charging performance in cold weather and Plug & Charge for seamless payments.

Standard features include two wireless Qi phone chargers, low-profile roof rails, Fabric/SofTex-trimmed seating, heated front seats and steering wheel, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and a power liftgate.

The 2027 Toyota C-HR EV will be available in two trims: SE and XSE. Both are powered by a 74.7 kWh battery. The SE grade with 18″ wheels has an estimated range of up to 287 miles, while the XSE trim with 20″ wheels has an estimated range of up to 273 miles.

    2027 Toyota C-HR SE $37,080 287 miles
    2027 Toyota C-HR XSE $39,080 273 miles

Upgrading to the XSE grade, starting at $39,080, gains 20″ gunmetal-finished wheels, SofTex and synthetic suede-trimmed seats, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, and a Panoramic View Monitor.

Toyota said the 2027 C-HR, bZ, and bZ Woodland models will begin arriving at dealerships in September.

With the 2027 models arriving soon, some of the best deals may be on current models. If you’re interested, you can use the links below to find Toyota’s electric SUVs at a dealership near you.
