It’s been a big month for Orange EV – the all electric terminal truck brand followed news of its record-setting 600-unit order with not one but two major milestone announcements: 2,000 yard hostlers delivered to customers, and 33 million electric miles driven!
Yesterday, Orange EV announced the delivery and deployment of its 2,000th electric terminal truck. The truck (shown, above) was one of several delivered to Coke Canada Bottling, with the milestone delivery coinciding with Coke Canada awarding the company with a 2025 National Supplier Partner Award.

Big truck, big deal
With major logistics firms and large-scale pilot projects shouting about the benefits of commercial EVs from the rooftops, we have to ask if milestone deliveries like this one are signaling a shift in the way fleet buyers are looking at EVs. For their part, Orange EV thinks it is.
“Delivering our 2,000th truck is more than a production milestone, it reflects a broader industry tipping point,” explains Kurt Neutgens, Co-Founder, President, and CTO of Orange EV. “Having done calculations under real-world conditions and duty cycles, fleet operators are no longer asking whether electric yard trucks can do the job. They are now asking how quickly they can standardize around Orange EV solutions to improve their uptime, predictability, and total cost of ownership.”
Orange EV trucks have now surpassed more than 12 million key-on hours and 33 million miles across more than 370 commercial fleets, with an average uptime rate of ~97%. At about 3 gallons of diesel fuel use per hour, my math has Orange EV’s deployed fleet reducing harmful carbon emissions by more than 365,000 metric tons.
