WWE star Chad Gable has been having a great run in the company, but reports have indicated the could be problems behind the scenes.
Gable was forced to go on a hiatus in the middle of 2025, owing to a shoulder injury. Before that, he had played the role of El Grande Americano, a character that was taken over by Ludwig Kaiser. After Gable returned to action, he feuded with Kaiser. Later on, he apologized to all Luchadors for his actions as a heel, and has been in great form ever since.
Thanks for the submission!
Fans have largely been appreciative of Chad Gable even before his recent popularity, owing to his consistent performances over the years. While he is reportedly being considered for a major push for SummerSlam 2026, there is a growing concern backstage regarding him.
According to a recent report from Wrestling Observer Radio, there is apparently concern from the authorities about his entrance music. The theme was created by WWE’s in-house production team, Def Rebel, and has Rock tones blended with an American tinge. The team backstage is hoping that fans will take to it and sing along as they do for several other names like Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.
WWE legend AJ Styles has heaped praise on Chad Gable
According to AJ Styles, Chad Gable run since return has been exhilarating.
Speaking on his The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, The Phenomenal One stated that he was interested in seeing Gable reach new heights. He said:
“So we’ve seen Chad Gable come back. He gave Rey Mysterio his mask back and kind of saved both him and Penta. I thought it was really freaking cool. That’s where I want to see it go. I want to see Chad be a bigger star. He’s obviously a babyface based on the fact that he admitted that he’s not the El Grande Americano. He is not him anymore. I think it’s cool. I’m really excited about where this is going.” said AJ Styles.
It remains to be seen what is in store for Chad Gable down the line in WWE.
