The 2026 FireKeepers Casino 400 is finally done and dusted. The 15th race of the NASCAR Cup Series season started at 3 pm ET and lasted for three hours, 13 minutes, and 39 seconds at Michigan International Speedway with a total of 37 entries.

This year’s FireKeepers Casino 400 saw 23 lead changes among 11 different drivers and witnessed 11 caution flags.

Who won the NASCAR race today?

Denny Hmalin, driving the #11 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, secured his third win of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season after starting the race from the rear of the field at Michigan.

Hamlin overcame a penalty for unapproved adjustments that forced him to start from the rear of the field, worked his way up, and emerged victorious when he grabbed the lead from Daniel Suarez with 38 laps to go and then never looked back to cross the finish line in P1.

The 45-year-old driver, a Tampa, Florida, native, led the 40 laps and crossed the finish line by a giant margin of 11.110 seconds ahead of Erik Jones to take the victory home. It marked his 63rd victory, now trying with the late Kyle Busch for ninth place on the Cup Series all-time wins list.

Hamlin paid tribute to his former teammate and NASCAR legend by waving a black-and-white #18 Kyle Busch flag outside his driver’s window while driving around the track for a victory lap.

Erik Jones secured a season-best runner-up finish, followed by Bubba Wallace, the defending series champion Kyle Larson, and Carson Hocevar in the top five. Daniel Suárez, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, and Chase Briscoe completed the top 10 of the FireKeepers Casino 400.
