Grenadier Gauntlet is one of the most fun weapons in Warhammer 40k Darktide. The weapon is a melee/grenade launcher that excels in both ranged and close combat. You can ADS to launch a missile at a single enemy, or punch someone, and create a radial blast right after to blow everything in the AoE. That said, it’s exclusive to Ogryn because they’re the only ones who can handle its power.
In this guide, we’ll go over the complete Grenadier Gauntlet Ogryn build in Warhammer 40k Darktide. This includes the weapons, curios, and Talent setup you’ll need to make the build work.
How to play Grenadier Gauntlet Ogryn in Warhammer 40k Darktide

As with any Ogryn build, the Grenadier Gauntlet is also quite simple to play. You can either do a long-range attack, which is very effective against a single target, so use it on strong enemies like captains and bosses. The other is close combat, which is great for gearing out mobs and activates after you perform a melee punch to create an explosion.
Going by this logic, when there are lots of enemies around, use Loyal Protector to taunt them and use the grenade punch. When there’s a strong enemy nearby, aim down the sights and start launching ranged attacks. With this build, you should be able to take them down without much effort.

Best Grenadier Gauntlet Ogryn build setup in Warhammer 40k Darktide

1) Grenadier Gauntlet
- Grenadier Gauntlet with Shattering Impact and Pinpoint Target blessings. For perks, use additional damage against Maniacs and Unyielding Enemies.
- Shattering Impact lets you apply the Brittleness debuff to enemies, reducing their armor and making them vulnerable for the entire ream.
- Pinpoint Target allows you to hold ADS for a few seconds to deal additional damage.
2) Battle Maul and Slab Shield
- Battle Maul and Slab Shield with Last Guard and Confident Strike grants lots of survivability.
- Last Guard allows you to push back the crowd of enemies every nine seconds with Block Breaks.
- Confident Strike grants additional Toughness on chain hits.
For Curios, you want to have Toughness as a blessing, followed by Damage Resistance and Combat Ability Regeneration. Since you’re a tank, it’s better to have more survivability and let your squad members be the main DPS. Although with the Grenadier Gauntlet, you’ll still be shredding through hordes of enemies.
Here are all the Talents you want to pick:
- Steady Grip
- The Best Defense
- Heavyweight
- Smash ‘Em!
- Big Friendly Rock (Blitz)
- Payback Time
- Soften Them Up
- Keep Shooting
- Focused Fighter
- Pumped Up
- Loyal Protector (Ability)
- No Pain (Ability Modifier)
- Go Again (Ability Modifier)
- Ammo Stash
- Big Boom
- Fire Away
- Coward Culling (Aura)
- Mobile Emplacement
- Pacemaker
- Dedicated Practice
- No Hurting Friends
- Feel No Pain (Keystone)
- Toughest! (Keystone Modifier)
- Pained Outburst (Keystone Modifier)
The build revolves around you taking enemy aggro and grouping them up for easy picking. Loyal Protector and Feel no Pain are the two perfect choices on the tree for that. Big Friendly Rock is there for fun, but feel free to swap to another Blitz. For the passives, you’ll notice most of them are either increasing your defense/utility or increasing your damage when getting hit by enemies.
