Volvo EV drivers will gain access to over 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across 29 European countries, starting later this year. But that’s not even the best part of it.

Can Volvo EVs use Tesla Superchargers in Europe?

Volvo drivers already have access to over three million charging points globally through the Volvo App,” according to Alejandro Castro Pérez, Head of Energy Solutions at Volvo Cars.

By adding Tesla Superchargers, Volvo will enable drivers to access one of the most reliable and accessible fast charging networks.

Those in the US and Canada can already charge up at one of over 120,000 charging points across North America directly through the Volvo app.

While select Tesla Superchargers in Europe have already been open to non-Tesla EVs for some time, the bigger news is that Volvo drivers can find, navigate to, and pay for a charging session using the Volvo app, rather than Tesla’s.

Starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, drivers will be able to use the company’s app to find Tesla Supercharger stations across 29 European countries.

Volvo said the majority will be in bigger markets such as Germany, France, Norway, the UK, Sweden, Italy, and Spain.

The full list includes: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

“As we accelerate towards full electrification, our goal is to make charging simple and effortless, through a seamless ecosystem,” Pérez said.

Volvo is also planning to move several models sold in Japan, South Korea, and other key Asia-Pacific regions to NACS by 2029.

All Volvo EV models, including the EX30, EX40, EC40, EX60, EX90, and ES90, will be able to use the Tesla Superchargers. Volvo will announce exactly when each model will gain access and in which markets shortly.
