Kargar will take charge on January 27, 2027, succeeding K N Radhakrishnan and will serve as a whole-time director, key managerial personnel for a five-year term, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Radhakrishnan will continue as Director and CEO until January 27, 2027, after which he will serve as a non-executive director until the company’s annual general meeting scheduled for July 2027.

Kargar brings more than three decades of experience in the global automotive industry across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Before joining TVS Motor, he was Global Chairman and President of Infiniti, Nissan‘s luxury brand.

Before joining TVS Motor, Kargar was Global Chairman and President of Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury brand. He led the brand’s global operations across product planning, research and development, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing and finance.
Kargar also served as Chairman and Senior Vice President for Nissan’s Africa, Middle East and India region, as well as CEO of the Datsun brand, where he oversaw operations across more than 80 countries.
Earlier, between 2014 and 2017, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Renault Group, managing operations across 50 countries spanning Africa, the Middle East, Iran and India. The role covered a business with €4 billion in turnover and annual sales of 400,000 vehicles, the company said.
His earlier assignments included serving as Managing Director of Renault Middle East and Country Manager Director in Iran.
Kargar joined TVS Motor as President of International Business and has since helped drive its overseas expansion. The international business now accounts for 29% of the company’s sales volume and is growing at 33%, TVS Motor said.

Kargar holds a Master’s in Business Administration from London Business School and is a mechanical engineer from INSA de Lyon.
