The NBA world was surprised when LeBron James announced that he would be joining the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of the 2026-27 season. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, James is signing a two-year, $8 million contract to join the franchise, with a player option in the second year.
However, YouTuber FlightReacts isn’t a fan of James’ decision. In a video posted on Friday, the content creator called out the four-time champion for joining the 76ers. He slammed him, not because he chose Philly, but because he’ll be teaming up with star forward Jaylen Brown.

The franchise acquired Brown via trade with the Boston Celtics for Paul George and a plethora of picks early this offseason. Flight doesn’t like the idea that James will be on the same team as the five-time All-Star, especially after he dissed his son, Bronny James.

“LeBron went to go D ride the Sixers,” he said. “I’m gonna tell you what’s wrong with this decision. LeBron, do you remember a dude named Jaylen Brown? Making fun of your son that just got to the league 20 days prior.
“LeBron, you are going to join a team with someone that was talking smack about your son. You can’t be this thirsty for a ring. Have you ever had a Philadelphia cheesesteak in your life?”
Flight referred to what Brown said during the 2024 NBA Summer League. While Bronny and the LA Lakers played, cameras were on the 2024 Finals MVP, who was sitting courtside with Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese. The broadcast caught the one-time champion mouthing something about the former USC guard.
“I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” is what Brown seemed to say.
Ever since LeBron James made the announcement, Brown’s alleged comments about Bronny have resurfaced.

Since Jaylen Brown went viral for what he said about Bronny James, fans were curious to know what LeBron James thinks of it. In February, the 41-year-old star was asked about his thoughts on what Brown said. James also revealed that he has no ill will towards the former Boston Celtics star, despite his comments about his son.
“Our relationship has been pretty respectful, besides the s**t he said about Bronny at summer league,” James said of Brown. “But other than that, other than that we’ve been all right.”
“I think he went on social media and said something about it,” James continued. “It’s all good, but Bronny’s got a long way to go, but that’s another story. But the kid, I mean, listen, JB is doing (great). S**t, he’s playing great basketball, man.”
It will be interesting to see the dynamic between Jaylen Brown and LeBron James moving forward, now that they’re teammates.
