The Hurt Syndicate had a crazy backstage interaction on this past week’s edition of AEW Collision following their underwhelming booking on the company’s programming over the last few months. The group has seemingly entered a lucrative business relationship with Shane Taylor Promotions with All In London just a few weeks away.
After Bobby Lashley departed WWE in 2024, the group previously known as the Hurt Business reunited in the Jacksonville-based company as the Hurt Syndicate. The early days of the group in AEW featured them dominate the Men’s roster with Lashley defeating a former World Champion like Swerve Strickland in a singles match at Full Gear. They also captured the AEW World Tag Team titles by defeating Private Party on Dynamite last year in January.
The group had major success at last year’s All In pay-per-view as Benjamin and Lashley succesfully defended their titles and MJF (former member) won the Men’s Casino Gauntlet match. However, their booking in the Tony Khan-led promotion over the last few months has been rather underwhelming. The Hurt Syndicate’s last major appearance featured them compete in the Stadium Stampede match alongside Team Jericho at Double or Nothing in May.
They recently returned on Collision two months ago to defeat Zack Mason and Warren Johnson in a quick 2-minute bout. The Syndicate also defeated Shane Taylor Promotions in an untelevised Brawl in the Ballpark event last month. On this past week’s episode of Collision, both factions interacted backstage with STP hoping to avail the Hurt Syndicate’s services. The MVP-led group showed interest in the offer and AEW now probably has a new dominant alliance looking to takeover the company.
Fans are excited to see what’s next for the group with this new alliance.
The Hurt Syndicate and STP could get featured on the AEW All In: 2026 Buy In show
Before every one of their pay-per-view events, AEW has a Buy-In show where the interviewers like Tony Schiavone and Renee Paquette discuss the scheduled matches for the show. The Buy-In also features some short matches featuring talent who couldn’t make it to the main card of the show.
Since All In 2026 is just a few weeks away and a lot of major matches have already been announced for the show, it seems very unlikely that the Hurt Syndicate will be able to make it to the main show’s card. However, considering their new potential alliance with the Shane Taylor Promotions, they could get featured on the Buy-In show in a big tag team match.
It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan will book the Syndicate on the All In: Buy-In show.
