The GV90 is set to arrive as the biggest, most prestige Genesis electric SUV to date. With its official debut coming up, the flagship EV was spotted charging alongside a Kia EV9, revealing its true size.

The hype continues building for the Korean luxury brand’s first full-size electric SUV. While the GV90 is finally expected to make an official debut later this year, we are getting a better idea of what to expect with prototypes spotted in the US, Europe, and South Korea.

We’ve seen at least two versions: a premium model with coach-style doors, adaptive air suspension, and massive screens on the inside, and another that’s expected to be a standard base variant.

Earlier this year, a covered Genesis GV90 was caught charging at a Tesla Supercharger in Mesquite, Nevada, suggesting it will come with a native NACS charging port, like the IONIQ 5, EV9, and all upcoming Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electric vehicles.

While we will finally see it in full later this year, a new batch of spy shots give us a better idea of just how big the full-size electric SUV will be.

In March, the GV90 was spotted at a charging station alongside a Hyundai IONIQ 5. Although it’s behind Hyundai’s electric crossover, the GV90 clearly overshadows it.

Another image shared on NewCarScoops shows it parked in a garage alongside the GV80 Coupe. While the angle doesn’t help, you can still see the GV90’s sheer size from a distance.

The latest images show the Genesis GV90 parked next to Kia’s three-row electric SUV, the EV9, offering a better comparison.

As you can see, the Genesis still appears a bit longer and wider than the EV9. The Kia EV9 measures 5,010 mm (197.2″) in length, 1,980 mm (77.9″) in width, and 1,755 mm (68.9″) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm (121.9″).

The GV90 is expected to be around 5,200 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall, with a similar wheelbase of 3,100 mm.

We also caught a glimpse of the interior a few months ago, revealing a high-tech new infotainment system.

The setup, called “Connect W,” is based on Hyundai’s new Pleos Connect OS, which makes it more like using a smartphone with apps, customizable screens, and more.

Like the concept, the GV90 featured a massive digital central infotainment screen and high-end Purple Silk leather trim and ‘Royal Indigo” cashmere elements.

Genesis has yet to reveal any details, but local reports suggest the premium model could cost up to 300,000 million won ($270,000) in Korea.

In the US, the standard Genesis GV90 is expected to start at around $100,000 when it arrives as a 2027 model year.

Regarding range, previous reports suggested the flagship Genesis SUV will be one of the first to be underpinned by Hyundai’s new eM platform, which the company said could offer up to 50% greater range than current E-GMP-based EVs like the IONIQ 5.

With its official debut scheduled by the end of 2026, we should learn more details soon. Check back for updates.
