    Summer skins, new sprites, and QoL updates

    The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 v41.20 update has arrived, with new skins, sprites, quests, map landmarks, and gameplay. This update puts its focus on the Hot Bat Summer event, with special DC character skins in the Item Shop, and DC-themed landmarks on the map. Other minor gameplay and UI changes have also been implemented in this update.

    DC Hot Bat Summer skins

    The following skins are available for purchase in the Fortnite Shop:

    1) Gotham City Summer Bundle

    This bundle includes the following:

    • Beach Bod Batman outfit
    • Batman Floatie Back Bling
    • Batman Paddle Pickaxe
    • Coastal Catwoman outfit
    • Selina’s Treasure Tote Back Bling
    • Riptide Claws Pickaxe
    • Ace the Bat-Hound sidekick
    • Beach Bats Kicks
    • Surf’s up Emote

    2) High Tide Harley & Sunflower Ivy Bundle

    This bundle includes:

    • High Tide Harley outfit
    • Harley Floatie Back Bling
    • Harley’s Boogie Bat Pickaxe
    • Chlorphyll Ivy outfit
    • Lily Lounger emote
    • Summer Snapper Back Bling
    • Carnation of Carnage Pickaxe

    All these items can also be purchased separately.

    New sprites

    The following sprites have been added to the game:

    • Batman Sprite: Equipping this Sprite lets you leap into the air and deploy the BatCape mid-air.
    • Seven Sprite: This Sprite makes enemy footsteps visible in the world for easy tracking.
    • Air Sprite: Equipping this Sprite boosts your jump height and sprint speed, and also nullifies all fall damage.

    A special “Shiny Hours” sprite event will be held on July 18, 2026, from 2 PM ET to 4 PM ET, and again from 9 PM ET to 11 PM ET, during which Batman Sprites, and Gold, Gummy, Galaxy and Holofoil sprite variants will spawn more frequently.

    New POI

    A new POI called “The Bat Cave” has been added to the map. Players can head to this landmark to explore the area in this new update.

    QoL updates and optimizations

    Sprites

    • Sprite chests now have guaranteed Epic, Legendary, and Mythic Sprites.
    • Different Sprite variants spawn more frequently.
    • New Sprites added to the game in the v41.10 can be added to the Pod Back Bling after they have been mastered.

    Gizmos

    • The Sprite Locator spawns a buried Chest that has a random Sprite.
    • Extraction Site Booster can be used at an Extraction Site to call a special to call a boosted Extraction Crate which gives bonus Sprite Dust when extracting Sprites.
    • New Gizmo wheel UI allows for seamless gizmo switching mid-match.
    • Lucky Locator Gizmo to be added in the v41.30 update.

    Weapons

    • Newly added: Bank Shot Pistol
    • Unvaulted: Rapid Fire SMG, Heavy Impact Sniper Rifle
    • Vaulted: Hunting Rifle, Flex SMG, Spicy Fish, Midas Flopper
    • The Ranger Pistol now deals less damage to players and structures, and has a reduced headshot damage multiplier. It also has a wider spread when aiming down sights, and its reload speed has been reduced.
    • The Surgical Burst Rifle now has a faster reload speed, and improved spread when aiming down sights.

    Produce boxes

    • All Produce Boxes now contain a healing item, a stack of ammo, and a Small Shield Potion.
    • The healing item can comprise of Uncommon Pepper (heals for 10 HP), Uncommon Apple (heals for 15 HP), and Golden Apple (heals for 50 HP).

    Bug fixes

    • Inconsistent Pilot Style names for The Guardian Outfit have been fixed.
    • A visual bug incorrectly displaying special Pickaxes as the default Pickaxe has been fixed.
    • Dealing damage to enemy shields now charges the the shock rock charge required for Aura Sprite, and the burst damage effect for Fire Sprite.
    • The Water Sprite’s original healing ability (while in water) has been restored.
    • More responsive movement when rotating camera with touch input on mobile.
    • Samsung Galaxy S9 loading crashes have been fixed.
    • Issues with Jam Tracks not playing in the Item Shop preview have been fixed.
