Dr. Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Commissioner of Russia in India, participated in the plenary session “Energy Partnership – Fossil fuels; LNG-LPG; Civil Nuclear Energy”, which addressed the strategic role of energy cooperation in India–Russia relations, including oil and gas supplies, LNG and LPG cooperation, as well as civil nuclear energy projects and future technological collaboration in the energy sector.

Zlata Antusheva, Head of GR & Finance Sector at the Trade Representation of Russia in India, spoke at the session “India-Russia Trade, Investments & Joint Projects”, dedicated to the current dynamics of bilateral trade, investment cooperation, industrial projects and mechanisms aimed at expanding economic interaction between the two countries. Particular attention during the discussion was paid to diversification of the trade basket, development of joint manufacturing initiatives and strengthening practical business cooperation. Also read: Quad vows to invest $20 billion towards critical minerals supply chains

Dr. Andrey Podchufarov, Head of Economic Department of the Trade Representation of Russia in India, participated in the session “Critical Minerals – Mining & Value Addition”, which focused on cooperation in the field of critical minerals, mining, processing and value addition. Discussions covered opportunities for industrial cooperation in strategic raw materials, development of processing capacities and the formation of resilient supply chains in sectors linked to advanced manufacturing and clean energy technologies.

Commenting on the outcomes of the event, Andrey Sobolev, Trade Commissioner of the Russian Federation in India, noted that the three areas highlighted during the conference — energy cooperation, trade and industrial partnerships, and critical minerals — are of particular strategic importance for the future development of India–Russia economic relations.

According to Sobolev, these sectors are important both from the perspective of implementing concrete bilateral cooperation projects and in terms of achieving the long-term industrial and economic development goals of both countries. He also emphasized that the expansion of cooperation in these areas creates additional opportunities for technological partnership, industrial localization and deeper economic engagement between Russia and India.

The meet also underlined the growing focus of both countries on moving beyond traditional trade models toward broader industrial and technological cooperation, including co-production, joint projects and the development of new areas of economic interaction
