Serena Williams penned a heartwarming message for her ‘bro’ Lewis Hamilton after the F1 icon bagged his first victory for Ferrari with a staggering drive at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. Hamilton won his maiden Grand Prix for Ferrari by surpassing Mercedes’ George Russell and defending world champion and McLaren driver Lando Norris.
Although the British racing driver initially struggled with the soft tyres in the opening lap, the three-stop strategy and a well-timed pit stop during a Virtual Safety Car helped him to have a solid race. The victory marked his first win in nearly two years. Hamilton celebrated his much-awaited triumph with an inspiring message on social media.
Thanks for the submission!
“REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE,” Hamilton wrote along with a picture of his victorious moment.
Serena Williams shared her admiration for her ‘bro’ by reposting the picture on her Instagram story and wrote:
“Never forget. I love you bro.”

Another tennis legend, Novak Djokovic, who received the honor of waving the checkered flag when Hamilton crossed the finish line, also congratulated Hamilton by writing:
“Greatness 👏🙌👏”

Williams returned to professional tennis at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships after initially retiring at the 2022 US Open.
