Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair has issued a warning to his son. While his daughter, Charlotte Flair, continues to carry his legacy and name in the ring, the 16-time World Champion isn’t keen to extend that privilege to his only living son, David Fliehr.
Earlier, in a post on X, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer seemingly warned his son over his FLAIR trademark. The Nature Boy made it clear that he has a reputable attorney that sues those who abuse his trademark.
Thanks for the submission!
Flair also mentioned that if the issue is not cleared up by Monday and not resolved, there would be penalties. While in this message he didn’t mention his son, he has dropped a now-deleted post, publicly calling out his son, making it clear that the earlier warning was for him.
He clarified that he won’t actually sue his son but said he cannot use the Flair name. The WWE icon mentioned that he can use the family’s real surname, Fliehr, or use his wife’s name instead.
Ric Flair also told him not to sell any more of his robes, having already sold one after being allowed to use it. The post was has now been deleted by the legend.
“I’m Obviously Not Suing My Son. Just Reminding Him That You Can’t Have The Best Of Both Worlds! Use Your God Given Name, Fliehr, Which Isn’t Worth A Cup Of Coffee. Or Your Wife’s Name, Who Has Had 3 Generations Of Success. Also, Please Don’t Sell My Robes That I Let You Use During Your Career As You Have Already Sold One. You’re 47 Years Old… Now Stand On Your Own Two Feet Please,” he wrote.
Ric Flair revealed why he doesn’t attend WWE shows anymore
Ric Flair was often seen on WWE TV after his daughter, Charlotte Flair, arrived on the main roster. He continued to be by her side for years but has moved away from that role in recent years.
Moreover, he hasn’t been seen in attendance for the company’s shows lately. During an appearance on The Thanalysis Show, he was asked whether he would attend WrestleMania 43 next year.
Flair mentioned that he would go since his daughter will be competing. He then mentioned that the reason he doesn’t attend WWE shows anymore is because of how the promotion is booking his daughter right now.
