Paige Drops A Bombshell WWE Announcement

Paige hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since her forgettable outing at SummerSlam. She has now dropped a bombshell announcement on her future.

The Anti-Diva came back to WWE at WrestleMania 42, replacing an injured Nikki Bella as Brie Bella’s partner during the Fatal 4-Way Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

The newly formed alliance defied all the odds and captured the gold, a moment that was originally meant for the Bella Twins had the Fearless One not gotten injured.

Brie and Paige held the fort in Nikki’s absence for three months before dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to the Fatal Influence at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Shortly after, Nikki Bella would return from injury to set up a six-woman Tag Team Match at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

The babyfaces once again came up short in a match marred by Brie Bella’s unfortunate injury.

Paige took her second pinfall loss since her return that night. After the match, Nikki and Brie stabbed Paige in the back, ending their alliance for good.

Speaking to So Cal Val at Comic Con Wales, The Glampire opened up about the Bella Twins’ heel turn and whether she saw it coming.

“You just get that vibe from Nikki out the gate there. You know what I mean? After we won the championships at WrestleMania, the hug that she gave me afterwards and the freaking side-eyes she was giving me, I was like, “Ah, is it going to be too long until she turns on me?” And I kind of expected it at SummerSlam too, especially when I gave Brie a really long hug, you know. I don’t know if you guys notice, but I gave her a long hug after the SummerSlam match, and I was just like, “This feels really sad… I mean, everyone expected it. Let’s be real, right? You know, Nikki’s a b—-!”

The former Divas Champion announced that she would return to singles competition and would go after the Women’s Championship once she’s done with the twin sisters.

“I came back, you know, as Paige after eight years. It was really cool to be back. But I came back in a tag to help them out. But you know they haven’t seen the best of me yet. You know we’re going to go into a singles competition, and I’m going to win those women’s champion championships after I beat their f**king a**.” (H/T – WrestlingNews)

Paige returning to WWE SmackDown this week

Paige missed SmackDown after SummerSlam, selling the aftermath of the post-match attack at SummerSlam. It seems like fans won’t have to wait too long to see her back on television.

The 33-year-old British star recently took to her X to put Nikki Bella on notice, saying she will be back this Friday.

“I saved your a** from getting pinned twice at summerslam.. I’m also the one who WON those championships. I’ll be back next week. You haven’t seen anything yet babe.”

With Brie Bella expected to remain on the sidelines, Nikki Bella will continue their feud with Paige on the blue brand.

A singles match between the two women could be in the works for Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, 2026.
