The Los Angeles Chargers signed Chris O’Leary as their new defensive coordinator in January after Jesse Minter left to join the Baltimore Ravens as their new coach.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh was asked about the potential defensive changes after the arrival of O’Leary by Colin Cowherd on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
Thanks for the submission!

“Chargers are COOKED.”
“Electrical Substation fried his brain… from hundreds of miles away. Tragic.”
“He’s either doing this on purpose and is a genius or having a stroke.”
“Thats hard to watch. getting old sucks man.”
“Oh Jim… lost his train of thought lol.”
“Little concerning for his cognitive state…”
“His brain decided to stop working, hilarious.”
O’Leary worked as the safeties coach for the Chargers under Harbaugh and Minter in 2024 before being hired as the defensive coordinator and safeties coach of Western Michigan University last year.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh used Justin Herbert is sales pitch to OC Mike McDaniel
During the interview, Jim Harbaugh also talked about the conversation he had with Mike McDaniel to convince him about the role as their offensive coordinator.
When Colin Cowherd asked about his sales pitch to McDaniel, Harbaugh named the Chargers quarterback.
“Justin Herbert,” Harbaugh said. “The same thing I got so excited about coming here to Los Angeles. When you look at the landscape for proven offensive minds, there were a lot of highly qualified coaches in this hiring cycle, and Mike was at the top of the list.”
The former Miami Dolphins coach is expected to galvanize the Justin Herbert-led offense, especially during the playoffs.
