Due to some unexpected circumstances, it has just been announced that Megan Bayne and several AEW stars will not be appearing at an upcoming event. Fortunately, with the help of Tony Khan, they will have replacements.
The Megasus is a workhorse in the wrestling world, as apart from her commitments to the Jacksonville-based promotion, she still often makes appearances for other promotions. She has made her return to Stardom, appeared at CMLL, and constantly takes bookings on the independent circuit.
She was originally scheduled to appear at Battle for the Brave this weekend alongside the Infantry, but it has just been announced that they won’t be around. Deonna Purrazzo broke the news, and she and her husband, Steve Maclin, are hosting the show. She revealed that with the help of Tony Khan, Kris Statlander will be replacing Megan Bayne.
Due to circumstances beyond their control, Megan Bayne and the Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) will be unable to appear at @WrestlingT2T this Saturday in Rahway, NJ. However, Deonna Purrazzo & Steve Maclin, with the help of Tony Khan, are committed to making this show an exciting evening of professional wrestling for everyone supporting this amazing cause! That said… PLEASE WELCOME AEW’S @callmekrisstat TO #BattleForTheBrave! 🚀🔥 Kris Statlander will now enter the 12-Person Battle For The Brave Cup Gauntlet Match!🏆 “
Purrazzo also revealed that the Infantry will be replaced by a mystery AEW tag team. Their identity will be revealed during the show.
“And that’s not all…AEW will also be sending a mystery tag team to compete in our Triple Threat Tag Team Match! Their identity will remain a surprise and will be revealed LIVE at #BattleForTheBrave streaming on YouTube! We hope to see you Saturday as we come together to support the @Tunnel2Towers”
Megan Bayne is scheduled for blockbuster AEW title match this weekend
It is unclear if this is the reason for her suddenly being pulled out of Battle for the Brave, but Megan Bayne is currently scheduled to put her women’s tag team title on the line this Saturday on Collision.
Last weekend, TayJay became the first duo to survive the 5-minute time limit set by Divine Dominion, thus granting them an official shot at the championship belts. This match is set for this coming weekend, and will be a match with normal title match rules.
Both Megan Bayne and Lena Kross may have to make necessary preparations as TayJay has emerged as the first duo to prove to be genuine threats to their title reign.
