Sean Strickland had some comments to make after his training session with Indian UFC lightweight Anshul Jubli went viral across social media. In a fresh X post, the American praised the former Road to UFC winner while adding his trademark dose of blunt humor.
The clip, shared by Championship Rounds on X, captured Strickland rolling with Jubli at the UFC Performance Institute. During the session, the middleweight champion referenced Dustin Poirier‘s now-viral airport arrest footage before jokingly calling himself a “weight bully” because of the sizeable gap between the two fighters.
Despite the playful trash talk, Strickland repeatedly complimented Jubli’s abilities on the mat, telling those watching that the Indian fighter “brought it” and knew what he was doing. After the footage gained traction online, Strickland returned to X with another light-hearted post directed at his training partner:
“Bro said, ‘Someone is hacking into your bank account. I need your social and password to stop it.’ Real talk, this man is holding it down for India. When I’m back in two weeks, I’m gonna help him and bring soap. He gonns be a real ni**a when I’m done with him.”

The exchange stood out because of Strickland’s complicated history when it comes to commenting about India. Over the years, the outspoken champion has drawn criticism for several inflammatory comments aimed at the country and its people during social media arguments.
Shara Magomedov continues to target Sean Strickland after UFC Baku
Shara Magomedov reignited his war of words with Sean Strickland after defeating Michel Pereira, who trains alongside the American at Xtreme Couture.
In an interview with Red Corner MMA after the win, Magomedov accused Strickland of refusing to compete outside the United States and described him as a “domestic champion.” The Russian claimed the champion only agrees to fight on American soil because he knows certain opponents face travel and licensing obstacles:
“He’s a coward and just a windbag. His time will come, and we will meet in the octagon. He’s just a domestic champion. If he ever comes to Abu Dhabi he will ask for five security guards, but most likely he won’t come here.”
Strickland took a dismissive tone while reacting to the Magomedov’s comments. The UFC middleweight champ is currently focused on healing up and returning to action by the end of the year.
