Tarragon is a valuable monster that has dual Grass and Dragon typing in Evomon. It can learn powerful moves like Dragon Claw and Seed Bomb, and it has a decent base speed, allowing it to move first in most battles. A Prismatic Tarragon with the SSS talent is a must-have for any trainer aiming to dominate high-level island or world bosses, such as Arcapex and Rosastar King.
This guide features the entire process for obtaining Tarragon in Evomon.
A complete guide for obtaining Tarragon in Evomon

Tarragon is the evolved version of Tarro. Since there is no way to directly get its evolved version, you must capture a Tarro and evolve it in the game.
Catch a wild Tarro

You can find Tarro and Tarragons roaming in the Murkwood island. Most of them are between levels 140 and 145, so make sure to power up your team before fighting them. Use Ice-type attacks from Glacitadel or Frostseer to deal Super Effective hits on these monsters and deplete their health quickly. Once their health goes to zero, capture them with either Basic Balls or any other items.
Acquire items for evolving Tarro

To evolve Tarro to Tarragon, you must have Evolution Stones, Dragon Stones, and Grass Stones in Evomon. It is also possible to use Omni Stones instead of Dragon and Grass Stones.
Evolution Stones can be obtained from Level-Up rewards, the Season Battle Pass, the Exchange Merchant, and the Traveling Merchant. The quickest way to obtain them is by beating summoned bosses and using the Exchange Tickets to purchase the items.
Dragon Stones and Grass Stones are earned by defeating island and summoned bosses. You can also acquire them by beating NPC trainers for the first time.
Evolve Tarro into Tarragon

After obtaining sufficient evolution items, choose Tarro in the evomon menu and press the Evolve button. Hit the Evolve button again to use Evolution Stones and Element Stones to acquire Tarragon.
Is Tarragon worth obtaining in Evomon?

Tarragon is a meta monster due to both its typing and skillset. It is only super weak to Ice and Fire, while its dual typing ensures that you get a range of moves that target the elemental vulnerabilities of opponent monsters.
A Tarragon in your team must be both speedy and bulky. Roll its Trait and Nature to make it gain aspects that improve its Speed, Damage, and HP. Next, consistently perform ascensions to increase the level cap of all your monsters.
The best moves of Tarragon are as follows:
- Wrap Assault: Summons vines that trap and deal damage to the opponent.
- Dragon Claw: The monster strikes the opponent with a sharp claw.
- Horn Strike: More powerful than Dragon Claw but has fewer uses.
- Seed Bomb: Strikes the enemy. From the next turn onwards, it regenerates health.
Tarragon also has the default Leaf Storm ultimate, which deals tremendous damage and is super useful against Water-type monsters.
