How to complete The Focus in the Sunstone Circle

In Gothic 1 Remake, the challenging part about The Focus in the Sunstone Circle quest is dealing with the mini-boss inside the focus chamber. The area is located near Orc Territory. You will have to go through a few orcs and orc dogs to reach the spot.

How to complete The Focus in the Sunstone Circle quest in Gothic 1 Remake

Find and open the door to the Tomb

To find the location, go west from the Old Camp towards the Orc Territory guard post and enter it. From there you will need to take a left and follow the path straight to the Stonehenge.

Once you are at the Stonehege, speak with Diego, who will then lead you to the entrance to the underground cave. There will be four pedestals with torches near the locked door. You will need to light them all for the door to open. But the moment you light all the torches, you will be ambushed by skeletons.

Don’t take consecutive hits from the Skeletons (especially the warriors) as they do a ton of damage. Fortunately, using the thrust or heavy attacks tends to stun them instantly, opening up a brief window for you to finish them off.

Find the Focus Stone iniside the tomb

Upon entering the tomb, you will come across a room with three doors; one will be open, leading you deeper into the tomb, and the other two will remain closed. But you can open these doors just by shooting an arrow at the glowing blue panel over them. This mechanic is key to defeating the boss in the next room.

How to defeat the Zombie

Once you have looted the side rooms, go through the central archway to start the zombie boss fight. This fight is more technical rather than brute strength, meaning you won’t need to deal any direct damage to the enemy.

Here’s how to defeat the Zombie:

• Before entering the room, save the game and equip the bow (light now works best, as it has a faster draw).
• There are three panels on the walls. Hit all three of them to activate the electric mechanism in the middle, which is the only way to deal a significant amount of damage to the zombie.
• Before hitting the third panel, you will need to kite the zombie to the middle of the room (over the metal grate).
• Keep repeating this until the zombie’s health drops to zero.
• Undead skeletons will also spawn during the fight; let Diego take care of these mobs while you focus on the zombie.

Avoid getting surrounded or cornered by the mobs, as it is the most common way to die in this arena. Additionally, do not walk into the stream of electricity in the middle, as it will drain massive chunks of your health.

Once the enemies are dead, pick up the Focus Stone floating in the middle of the room.

Don’t forget to loot the two mummies in the corners before you leave, as they yield a decent amount of loot. Here are some of the items they drop:

• Schematic of Custodian’s Blade
• Light Rune
• Ring of Invincibility

Once you have everything, return to Saturas in the New Camp to complete the The Focus in the Sunstone Circle quest.
