Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was included in a WNBA promotional video released by USA Network on Tuesday. Many fans reacted to the advertisement that also included Clark’s former teammate DeWanna Bonner and LA Sparks star Kelsey Plum.

The USA Network’s promo showed a number of Clark’s highlight plays. Several players were interviewed about the star guard, including her Fever teammates Kelsey Mitchell, Monique Billings and Aliyah Boston. Towards the end of the video, Plum and Bonner also praised Clark.

“You have to guard her the whole court the whole 94 feet,” Bonner said. “She changed the game of basketball.”

Several fans reacted to the inclusion of Bonner in the USA Network’s marketing material. Bonner, now with the Phoenix Mercury, played nine games with Indiana during the 2025 season before being waived. The two-time WNBA champion was reportedly dissatisfied with her role and asked for a trade.

“I wonder how much DB wanted to cry that she had to be part of the promo,” one fan tweeted.

@nosyone4 @sophstcrs I wonder how much DB wanted to cry that she had to be part of the promo. 😆

“LMAO who asked her to do this,” another fan commented.

LMAO who asked her to do this

@nosyone4 I’m confused. DB is praising her? What happened?

    Other fans praised the commercial:

@nosyone4 Very proud of DB makes you want to forgive her. That couldn’t have been easy. Appreciate KP too as she’s no slouch

@nosyone4 That was smart and nice to see. Almost like the NBA got involved and explained how you market and appreciate your star players- not blackball and target.

@nosyone4 Yes! The whole promo was awesome!

USA Network’s division, USA Sports, is one of the league’s broadcast partners, as part of the WNBA’s new media rights deal that started this season.

According to the league’s press release in April, USA Network is scheduled to air 48 of 330 regular-season games, which is the second-most among broadcast partners. The cable TV channel airs WNBA games primarily on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Caitlin Clark has a message for young fans amid news about her signature sneakers

Caitlin Clark will release her first signature shoe with sports apparel giant Nike on Oct. 1. The Nike Caitlin 1 will be in a “Racer Blue” colorway and is predicted to cost between $105 to $140.

In her pregame media availability on Tuesday, Clark said she intends for the shoe to become an inspiration to her young fans.

“I probably was never a kid that grew up thinking that this was gonna be in the cards for me,” Clark said. “For young boys and young girls to hopefully want to wear it and be able to put it on, you don’t have to be a basketball player, but dream to achieve whatever you want.

“I think that’s what I hope people feel when they put the shoe on. Also that it’s really comfortable and it looks pretty cool, too. That it kind of gives them a superpower and they feel like they can express themselves through the shoe.”

The release date of Clark’s sneakers is just a few days after the start of the WNBA playoffs on Sept. 27. Entering Tuesday, the Fever are No. 7 in the league with an 8-5 record.
