The Health Department is set to introduce “NalamAI”, a WhatsApp chatbot service, on a trial basis, to improve public access to government healthcare services including outpatient appointment booking. The service will be implemented on a pilot basis at the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital starting on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued by the Health Department, Health Minister K.G. Arunraj will launch the chatbot service on Wednesday. Through the chatbot, people can complete a one-time registration and book outpatient appointments from their homes. To use the service, people can send a “Hi” message on WhatsApp to 96192 22999.
