The Mega Seed is a special seed type shadow-dropped in Grow a Garden 2 on June 27, 2026. This seed can produce Crops that have a higher chance of being larger than usual, increasing their sale values. Its acquisition is directly tied to the Mega Moon Weather, which was introduced alongside the Mega Seed on the aforementioned date. Considering its rarity and high value potential, the Mega Seed is worth pursuing for any player.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Mega Seed in Grow a Garden 2.

The Mega Seed is a unique seed that matures into a random plant species once sown. Once planted in your farm, it will select any non-limited species in the Seed Shop and develop into that plant. When it fully matures, the plant will produce Crops that have a higher chance of growing larger Crops than usual.

Since Crop weight directly factors into its value, the Mega Seed is inherently more valuable than the regular version of the corresponding plant. For example, a Mega Pomegranate will always be more valuable than a regular Pomegranate because of its higher weight.

The odds of a Mega Seed maturing into a specific plant species depends on the original species’ rarity. The higher the rarity of a plant species, the lower the chance of the Mega Seed becoming said species. For instance, the odds of a Mega Seed becoming a Carrot plant is far higher than it becoming a Sunflower plant.

Below, you can find a list of plant species that the Mega Seed can potentially mature into as of Update 1:

    • Common: Carrot, Blueberry, Strawberry.
    • Uncommon: Apple, Tomato, Tulip.
    • Rare: Bamboo, Cactus, Corn, Pineapple.
    • Epic: Banana, Coconut, Mushroom, Grape, Green Bean, Mango.
    • Legendary: Dragon Fruit, Acorn, Cherry, Sunflower.
    • Mythic: Venus Fly Trap, Pomegranate, Poison Apple, Venom Spitter.
    • Super: Moon Bloom, Dragon’s Breath.

As for its acquisition, Mega Seeds spawn only while the Mega Moon Weather is active. During Mega Moon, you can approach Mega Seeds on the map and interact with them to add them to your inventory. Mega Seed spawns depend on the number of players on the server; the higher the number of players, the better the spawn chances. You can learn more about the Mega Moon Weather in this guide.
