A former World Champion has received a d**th threat ahead of this week’s AEW Dynamite, where the star will compete in a blockbuster title match.
The World Champ in question here is none other than Rush. The LFI leader, a former 2-time ROH World Champion, has been on a hot streak in All Elite Wrestling recently, and his success has culminated in an AEW World Title shot. The Mexican Star challenged reigning champion MJF last week on Dynamite+Collision. MJF accepted, and the match was quickly set for this week’s edition of the Flagship show.
Since the match was confirmed, Maxwell has been taking major shots at his Mexican Challenger. He has called him a fake tough guy and predicted he would defeat Rush in under 25 seconds. Earlier today, the Salt of the Earth took another shot at Rush via a post on X. Sharing their World Title match graphic, MJF captioned the post, stating that he is going to m*rder the Mexican star in their match.
“Gonna m*rder this dork,” MJF wrote.

MJF gives brutally honest verdict on what happens if he leaves AEW
In a recent Q&A with The Hollywood Reporter, MJF was asked what would happen if he left AEW for WWE or a full-time career in Hollywood. Friedman’s response was shocking but not unexpected given his gimmick. He stated that the Jacksonville-based promotion would d*e fast if he were to leave. The Salt of the Earth believes he’s the most important piece in All Elite Wrestling.
“It d*es. It d*es probably a fast — not even a slow and painful death. And that’s OK, you know. I love AEW, I love everybody that works there, but, like I said, I can’t be in the position I’m in without having the pass the ball, but if they couldn’t pass the ball back to me? Jesus Christ. God bless ’em. I’m the most-important piece of the puzzle,” said MJF. [H/T:hollywoodreporter.com.]
