Mojang Studios recently introduced the brand new Minecraft Moonlight Trail cape. It is a mesmerizing cape with the in-game moon shining on a beacon pyramid made of diamond blocks. Though capes have become quite common in recent times, as Twitch and TikTok reward drops, not a lot of players will be able to get their hands on this one. This is because it is linked to an in-person interactive event coming soon.
Here is everything you need to know about the Minecraft Moonlight Trail cape.
Everything to know about Minecraft Moonlight Trail cape

To obtain the Minecraft Moonlight Trail cape, you need to visit the Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail interactive event that will be taking place soon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Experience Mod, Supply+Demand, and Mojang Studios will run this new in-person interactive event. This event was first announced in the first Minecraft Live 2026 event.
This is a brand-new live experience taking place outdoors at night, where you will need to physically explore various in-game biomes created in real life. The entire pathway is said to be a kilometer long, at the end of which you will have to fight various hostile mobs and light a beacon to complete the experience.
Since it is a real-life event, loads of lighting, fog, and sound effects will enrich the overall experience, making you feel like you are in the Minecraft world.

After you get their tickets scanned on-site, you need to complete the entire interactive event. Once this is done, you will receive an email within the next 72 hours containing a code for the Minecraft Moonlight Trail cape. If multiple tickets are purchased with a single account, the email will contain multiple codes, one per ticket.
According to the event’s website, if you have an extra code, you can share it with your family and friends, but you are not allowed to sell it anywhere. This promo code can then be copied and pasted on the Minecraft website’s redeem page.
As of now, this cape will only show up in Bedrock Edition once you claim it, but it will later reflect in Java Edition as well.

Though Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail is not yet open for a visit, the community has already found the cape’s URL on the in-game marketplace. However, it is not claimable through it.
