Michael Cole tore into a popular WWE Superstar during a recent interview. The latter is slated to wrestle at the Night of Champions Premium Live Event.

In one of the three title matches scheduled for the show in Riyadh, Sami Zayn and Gunther will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match.

Michael Cole recently spoke with Mike Greenberg on ESPN’s Get Up to preview the upcoming premium live event. When asked about the three-way battle, The Voice of WWE noted that it would be an interesting bout, as there would be no disqualifications or count-outs and Cody Rhodes could lose the title without being involved in the finish.

“It’s interesting. Cody Rhodes, of course, is the undisputed WWE Champion, but this is a triple threat match. There are no count-outs, there is no DQ, the first man to pick a pinfall or submission wins the championship. So Cody has no advantage; he doesn’t even have to be involved in the decision to lose the title,” Cole said.

The 59-year-old then praised Gunther and pointed out that The Ring General retired John Cena, AJ Styles, and Goldberg. He added that the former World Heavyweight Champion was a technical genius. However, he took a dig at the other challenger, Sami Zayn. Michael Cole referred to him as the Wemby of the Stamford-based promotion and an entitled and spoiled crybaby.

“Gunther, a career killer, has ended the careers of Goldberg, John Cena, and Hall of Famer AJ Styles. This man is a killer in the ring. He is an absolute technical genius. And the man you just saw deliver the kick there, Sami Zayn, to use a sporting analogy, I like to call Sami Zayn the Wemby of the WWE. Entitled, spoiled crybaby, that’s what Sami Zayn has been all about,” he added. [H/T: itrwrestling]

Michael Cole believes popular female star can defeat a current champion at WWE Night of Champions

During the conversation, Michael Cole also spoke about the final of the Queen of the Ring Tournament between Liv Morgan and IYO SKY.

The veteran stated that he had often referred to The Genius of the Sky as the best wrestler on the planet, and he believed that the Japanese star could defeat the Women’s World Champion at the premium live event.

“This is interesting because Liv Morgan is the current world champion. So, if she wins, she goes on to face the WWE champion at SummerSlam, and she could have all the gold. But she’s going up against the woman who I have called not just the best women’s wrestler on the planet, but the best wrestler, period, on this entire planet. IYO SKY is unbelievable in the ring. She’s a former world champion, and I think she’s got a chance to knock off Liv Morgan in Riyadh on Saturday,” Cole said.

Only time will tell which superstars win their respective matches at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh this Saturday.
