Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion ‘The Tormentor’ Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu of Mongolia is one of the strongest fighters in the world today.

That is evidenced by holding the coveted 26 pounds of gold in the world’s largest martial arts organization, and going all the way to the finals of Netflix hit ‘Physical Asia’ with the rest of Team Mongolia.

But he didn’t just get to this point in his career and reach this physique through hard work alone. Baatarkhuu says he ate his way to becoming a world champion, and that nutrition has played a vital role in his career.

On the podcast, All About Mongolia, Baatarkhuu talked about his diet and how food fuels him in training and competition.

    ‘The Tormentor’ said:

“Most of the time, I focus on eating foods that are high in protein and vegetables that are rich in nutrition. That way, I can train again properly the next day. It is important to get in good food, and I don’t compromise on eating good. When you’re training until you are exhausted every time, you need to eat well to manage your body.”

That being said, Baatarkhuu is one of the strongest physical specimens in ONE Championship today, and for good reason.

    He told All About Mongolia:

“People see me as a hero. They recognize me, come up to me, which is something that didn’t happen before. It’s quite common these days, especially for the younger generation. Also, my life has changed financially. The quality of my life has improved a lot.”
