Despite YouTuber and Kick streamer Kanel Joseph being denied at the Streamer University in-person applications held in mid-June 2026, he made it through and was selected as part of the final 2026 SU student batch by Kai Cenat. That being said, Kanel almost let the opportunity slip by, considering he overslept and missed his flight to the campus.
On July 14, 2026, Kanel Joseph shared a post on X, saying that he missed his flight and that he’ll try again next year:
“ggs missed my Streamer University flight i’ll try again next year thanks kai for the opportunity 🥲💔 @KaiCenat”
The streamer addressed the situation on stream soon after, saying that he “was trying to plan great ideas for SU and overslept.” Kai Cenat then came in clutch, sponsoring a private flight for Kanel to make it to campus:
“I was trying to plan great ideas for streamer university, and I overslept… I’m going be honest. I’m not going to lie to y’all, bro… But Kai seen the tweet and he said, “Yo, brodie, I’m going to make sure you get on your flight.” So, he got me a $25,000 [private jet] to make sure I get to Streamer University on time.”
A day later, Kanel Joseph was seen on the SU campus rocking a massive backpack with a marijuana print all over it.

Kanel Joseph notably met rapper-turned-streamer T-Pain, who was seen on campus walking around with his crew. Kanel walked up to the rapper and called him inspiring, because despite his age, he continues to stream:
“This is inspiring, man. When you see people that are almost goin’ in retirement homes, that are still streaming (‘Hell yeah! I can do it,’ said T-Pain).”
T-Pain then walked off.
Further, Kanel was also seen “trolling” a smaller streamer when the latter asked for directions to the auditorium:
“Auditorium? Okay, so, you’re going to take a left, and another left, and just never come back (‘Alright, that was mean,’ said the smaller streamer). She said that was mean… Bro, I’m not gonna get painted as the bully, bro. I’m just trolling.”
Kai Cenat and Cinna also caught Kanel discussing partying as well, which is strictly a no-go on the Streamer University campus.
In other news, Valkyrae explained her plans as a professor for Streamer University 2026, saying she “was thinking about being a dommy mommy.”
