New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has faced backlash for introducing President Donald Trump at a New York rally last week. Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant shared his feelings on the controversy.

The three-time Pro Bowler reflected on the difficulties of being a professional footballer, saying it’s a “lose-lose situation” for players when it comes to their political and religious beliefs.

“I really don’t understand the hate Jaxon Dart got for introducing President Trump,”Bryant wrote on X. “Good or bad..if you support Trump or not..you’re in a lose-lose situation. Politics and religion are difficult for sports. Folks have the right to believe in whatever the fuck they want.

“I don’t know..I just live by a code..As long as it’s not interfering with my shit..do whatever you want because you’ve got to take whatever you’re on up with God. I’m too much of a sinner to be judgmental and political.”

Jaxson Dart admitted “unique oppurunity” of introducing President Donald Trump

Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart addressed the controversy surrounding his introduction of President Donald Trump on Friday. Dart expressed his love for the country, explaining that he respects the position “regardless of political party.”

“Obviously, this was a unique opportunity, being asked and given the opportunity to introduce the president of the United States,” Dart said. “My thinking was pretty simple, in the fact of, I’ve always loved this country. I have extended family members who have fought in wars. I have two uncles who have retired from the Air Force Academy and served themselves.”

“And I even have a great-grandfather who served as the Secretary of the Treasury at some point. The president’s position has always been a position that I have a lot of respect in, regardless of political affiliation, regardless of political party. My intentions were just that.”

Dart is heading into his second season with the Giants and more eyes will be on the sophomore quarterback after the Trump controversy.
