The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt holds the title for America’s most affordable new electric car, but it can now be had for even less, thanks to a new discount from Costco Auto Program.
The retail giant’s member-only program can slash $1,250 off the purchase price of the new Bolt if you’re an Executive Costco member, while Gold Star and Business members get a $1,000 incentive.

As a result, the 2027 Bolt’s starting price can go down from $28,995 to as little as $27,745, making it not just an affordable EV, but a great value in the grand scheme of things, too. The latest Bolt got huge improvements over its predecessor, and is now capable of delivering up to 262 miles of range on a full charge.
The charging speed has also been boosted significantly. Thanks to a maximum 150-kilowatt input, the 2027 Bolt needs 25 minutes to go from 10-to-80%, whereas the previous-generation model needed well over an hour. What’s more, the latest Bolt is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which can be regularly charged to 100%. In other words, drivers can enjoy the car’s entire driving range all the time—something that couldn’t be said about the old model’s nickel-rich pack that required regular charging to be limited to 80% for longevity.
Costco Auto Program’s Chevy Bolt incentive can be had through June 30. To get it, customers need to register at Costco. Additionally, Chevrolet is offering its most affordable EV with a fixed 2.9% APR for 60 months for well-qualified buyers.
If you’re after something a little more expensive and luxurious, Costco Auto Program has discounts of up to $2,000 for Volvo EVs and plug-in hybrids. Executive members can get $2,000 off a new EX90, XC90 PHEV, or XC60 PHEV. The EX30 and EX40 electric crossovers are eligible for an incentive of up to $1,250. Just like the Bolt EV offer, the Volvo discounts are valid through June 30.
