Dalton Levi Eatherly, also known as “ChudTheBuilder,” has been charged with criminal attempt to murder, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee, issued a statement on Facebook, stating that ChudTheBuilder was detained by criminal investigators and charged with the aforementioned charges.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee, added that the indefinitely banned Kick streamer was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and was being held pending arraignment:

“Suspect in Shooting Incident Outside Montgomery County Courthouse Arrested. Earlier today, law enforcement officers responded to a shots-fired incident outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office immediately launched an investigation into the incident. As a result of the investigation, Dalton Eatherly, 28, was detained by criminal investigators and charged with Criminal Attempt: Murder, Employing a Firearm During Dangerous Felony, Aggravated Assault, and Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon. Eatherly was booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment, at which time bond will be set.”

Sheriff John Fuson also released a statement about the shooting incident involving ChudTheBuilder, saying:

“It’s unfortunate that incidents like this are happening in our community. This kind of violence won’t be tolerated, and our office will work to make sure those responsible are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

What did ChudTheBuilder say after shooting an individual in Clarksville, Tennessee?

On May 13, 2026, an alleged audio recording of ChudTheBuilder surfaced on social media, in which he claimed to have shot an individual after allegedly being threatened and assaulted:

“I walked up to him because they were pointing at me. They were laughing. They were pointing at me, and I said, ‘What’s up, guys? How are y’all doing?’ I said, ‘You all like the new suit?’ He said, ‘Walk away from me,’ I walked away from him. He came back up to me; he literally said, ‘I have PTSD, I feel like…’ He said, ‘You start saying all that chimp out … to me, I’mma hit you.’ He hit me. Started wailing on me even after I had to defend myself by shooting him. He’s still wailing on me.”

A person, presumably a police officer on the scene, then reported seeing a bullet graze on the streamer’s left arm, as well as a minor abrasion on ChudTheBuilder‘s head.
