Chris Jericho has been away from AEW television for over a week now, despite scoring multiple big wins last month. The former multi-time World Champion is also being hounded by a new enemy, who jumped the veteran immediately after he seemingly put an end to his first rivalry since his comeback earlier this year. If he finds himself at a numbers disadvantage yet again, Jericho may decide to call on a couple of allies of his own, a former teammate in the form of Ortiz, and a former rival in Eddie Kingston.

At Double or Nothing 2026 last month, Chris Jericho teamed with Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, Jack Perry, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega to defeat Ricochet, The Gates of Agony, The Dogs, Mark Davis and Andrade El Idolo in the latest iteration of the Stadium Stampede match. On the May 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, days after leading his crew to victory at the PPV, The Demo God beat The Excellence of Elevation in singles competition, avenging his loss to the latter at Dynasty 2026.

Promptly after his triumph over Ricochet, however, Jericho got blindsided by Tommaso Ciampa. The Psycho Killer has been calling Y2J out on every AEW televised show since then, seemingly intent on advancing his career at the former World Champion’s expense. Moreover, The Demand may not be finished with Jericho despite the latter’s victory over The Human Highlight Reel. This is not to mention Don Callis’ outspoken animosity towards him as well, besides The Invisible Hand’s working ties with Ricochet.

When Jericho comes back to All Elite Wrestling, he may find himself surrounded by enemies on all sides. The former World Champion could counter any prospective numbers disadvantage, however, by bringing in a couple of allies of his own- Eddie Kingston and Ortiz.

Jericho’s history with Ortiz is well-known to long-time AEW fans, as the “Funky Munkey” was involved with the former Inner Circle leader during the early years of the promotion. The Wizard eventually turned on Proud and Powerful, however, not long after the beginning of his rivalry with The Mad King. A long time has passed since then, and if he ends up needing their help, Jericho could mend fences with Kingston and Ortiz, and unite with them against Ciampa, The Demand, the DCF and whoever else the babyfaces may have to fight back against.

Chris Jericho announced an upcoming show amidst AEW hiatus

Even though he has not been on AEW TV in some time, Chris Jericho recently took to his Instagram story to announce an upcoming show he and his band Kuarantine will be playing. The event is scheduled for the 26th of June, and will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“Milwaukee, Chris Jericho here letting you know that Kuarantine is coming back to your amazing city June 26th at the Shank. And you know what you’re gonna get if you saw us play Milwaukee last year. It is the world’s greatest non-makeup ’80s KISS tribute band.
