AEW star Chris Jericho has been regarded as one of the all-time great wrestlers. He was already a popular figure during his WWE stint. However, he added more to his legacy by joining AEW. He has won multiple championships in the Jacksonville-based promotion. After his return in April, he seems to be helping promising stars elevate. He has been involved in feuds with Ricochet and Tommaso Ciampa since his comeback.

Apart from pro wrestling, the former AEW World Champion is also in a band, Fozzy. He was on the tour for an entire year. He also hosts podcasts and interviews. Along with that, he has featured in different movies over the years. He recently talked about his future in pro wrestling.

While speaking with Dan Marston, Chris Jericho said that he cannot wrestle forever and will have to retire soon. However, he claimed that he will continue to act, tour and host podcasts in the future.

“It’s just kind of cool to see how I’m influenced by these guys, but then I’ve influenced those guys, and it all kind of blends in together in a really cool, creative, respectful soup, shall we say? So yeah, I mean, what am I going to do? Retire from doing everything and go take this box and put it over there and grow flowers for the rest of my life? I’ve got no intentions of slowing down. I might not be wrestling forever, nor do I want to be, but you can play music till you’re in your 80s, and you can act, and you can do podcasts, and you can do a lot of cool stuff. That’s what I can plan and continue doing,” he said. [H/T – Ringside News]

Chris Jericho responds to recent fan backlash

The Summer Blockbuster edition of Dynamite opened with Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa’s promo. However, the segment wasn’t enjoyed by fans and received criticism.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, the Demo God said that he was trying something different for fun and claimed that the live crowd seemed to enjoy the promo.

“Well, you know, you always try different things to have some fun. Sometimes you do a little bit more laughing stuff and sometimes you do a little bit more serious stuff but, it all ends up being good so, the live crowd enjoyed the Tommy’s Mommy,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Chris Jericho.
