Through its new “preferred pricing program,” BMW and MINI drivers can receive a 20% discount on all EV charging sessions now through the end of September.

BMW launches preferred EV charging pricing at IONNA

Starting today, BMW said drivers can automatically receive 20% off charging sessions at IONNA stations in the US by simply using Plug & Charge or the My BMW App.

The new program runs now through September 30, 2026. BMW said the discount will be automatically applied — no credit cards, subscriptions, or other activation methods needed. However, you will need a card linked to Plug & Charge or the BMW app. It’s not offered for those who pay at the stall.

With national gas prices climbing over $4.50 a gallon on average, charging an electric vehicle is already less expensive.

IONNA is a public charging network from BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Toyota.

The network now includes over 1,000 charging bays across the US with plans to rapidly expand over the coming years.

IONNA’s DC fast charging stations offer NACS and CCS connectors. In March, IONNA announced it had more than 4,700 bays contracted nationwide, with nearly 1,500 in construction or nearly complete. IONNA charges $0.39/kWh or less across its network.

“BMW firmly believes in an electric future, and it’s no secret that reliable high-speed charging infrastructure remains essential to the continued growth of the electric vehicle market,” Shaun Bugbee, BMW of North America’s executive vice president, said.

BMW is preparing for a new chapter with the 2027 iX3 arriving later this year, the brand’s first Neue Klasse electric model.

Just last week, BMW opened preorders for the 2027 iX3, starting at $61,500 with up to 434 miles of driving range on a single charge.

With the new iX3 on its way, BMW is offering thousands off and low financing rates on its current electric vehicles to move inventory. Check out the links below to see what offers are available in your area.
