'Bewkoof samajh rakha hai?': Arvind Kejriwal slams Centre over NEET paper leaks, says country needs 'educated PM'

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday criticised the Union government’s decision to use Air Force vehicles to transport NEET question papers, questioning whether the move would actually prevent leaks and accusing the government of putting on a “show.““Hume bewkoof samajh rakha hai,” Kejriwal said in a video message.“Air Force planes will be used to prevent paper leaks in NEET. Will this stop paper leaks? How can our government talk like an illiterate person? They have no intention of stopping paper leaks. The country’s education system is completely trapped in the clutches of the mafia,” Kejriwal posted on X.In a video message, he said, “There are so many exam papers across the world, and nowhere are they transported in Air Force bulletproof trucks. This government is only putting on a show. They are pretending to take action, but they have no real intention to fix the system. The leaks will continue.”Kejriwal also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over disruptions in the CUET-UG 2026 examination, which was delayed at several centres due to a technical glitch on Friday.“The country needs an educated PM,” Kejriwal wrote on X, responding to a post by AAP leader Atishi highlighting difficulties faced by students at an examination centre in Varanasi.Kejriwal also cited the case of Vedant, a Class 12 student who raised concerns on X about discrepancies in his physics paper. “Vedant was trolled by their troll army, called Pakistani and anti-national. This is all happening for saving education mafias,” he said.Earlier, the National Testing Agency confirmed that CUET-UG 2026 faced disruptions at some centres on May 30 due to a technical glitch reported by its service provider, Tata Consultancy Services. The NTA revised the afternoon shift schedule and said compensatory time would be provided to affected candidates. The controversy comes amid ongoing concerns over the CBSE OSM discrepancies row and the NEET-UG paper leak case.
