The Genshin Impact 6.6 Stygian Onslaught is here, featuring a fresh lineup of enemies. To clear the current rotation of Stygian Onslaught, you will need to defeat extremely tanky bosses such as the Hydro Tulpa, the Battle-Hardened Glacial Wolf, and The Open-Eyed. Taking down these enemies within the stipulated amount of time requires the use of very specific team compositions and Elemental reactions.

This article provides a guide on the best teams that you can use to clear Genshin Impact 6.6 Stygian Onslaught.

Team compositions for Stygian Onslaught in Genshin Impact 6.6

    Battlefield 1: Battle-Hardened Glacial Wolf

Similar to the Nod-Krai Glacial Wolf Local Legend, the Battle-Hardened Glacial Wolf has the same mechanics wherein it spawns a wolf spirit that has a shield which can only be destroyed by swirling either Pyro or Electro. Hence, teams that focus on these two elements can easily clear this stage.

Here are some of the teams that you can use to defeat the Battle-Hardened Glacial Wolf in Genshin Impact 6.6 Stygian Onslaught:

    1) Varka, Nicole, Durin, Prune

The Battle-Hardened Glacial Wolf boss is made for a Varka team, and he can clear this stage extremely easily. Durin’s excellent off-field Pyro application makes it very easy to Swirl Pyro and quickly destroy the wolf spirit’s shield. Once the shield has been broken, use Varka’s optimal combos to quickly defeat the boss.

    2) Flins, Ineffa, Aino, Sucrose

A Flins team can also easily clear this stage, as the boss is weak to both Pyro and Electro Swirl. Use Ineffa’s off-field Electro application to help Sucrose swirl Electro and shred through the wolf spirit’s shield extremely quickly. Note that Sucrose can destroy this shield using both her Elemental Skill and Normal Attacks, making her one of the best characters to use against this boss in a non-Varka team.

You can also replace Aino with Columbina in this team, in case you haven’t used her to clear any of the other challenges in the Genshin Impact 6.6 Stygian Onslaught.

    3) Mavuika, Citlali, Sucrose, Bennett

For this team, use a combination of Mavuika’s tap Elemental Skill and Bennett’s Elemenal Burst to help Sucrose swirl Pyro and take down the wolf spirit’s shield. Sucrose can also be replaced with Kazuha, in case you have him very well-built. Make sure to use Mavuika’s optimal Melt combos in order to maximize her overall damage.

    Battlefield 2: Hydro Tulpa

While the Hydro Tulpa boss itself can be defeated quite easily, you will need to keep an eye out for the half-Tulpas that it spawns throughout the fight. These half-Tulpas need to be killed immediately using Elemental reactions, so as to stop the Tulpa from absorbing them and healing itself. Hence, fast DPS units who can quickly take out the half-Tulpa spawns while also dealing damage to the main boss are the best choices for this fight.

Here are some teams that you can use to clear this stage in Genshin Impact 6.6 Stygian Onslaught:

    1) Nefer, Lauma, Nahida, Kuki Shinobu

A Lunar-Bloom team with Nefer and Lauma can defeat this boss the fastest. Make sure to use Nahida’s Elemental Skill to link the main boss with the half-Tulpas, so that you don’t need to run around killing the spawns separately.

In case you have not used Columbina for any of the other two stages, you can feel free to add her to this setup. You can also replace Kuki Shinobu with another healer such as Kokomi, or even Baizhu.

    2) Mavuika, Xilonen, Citlali, Bennett

Mavuika’s premium team can also easily clear this stage. Continue using Mavuika’s normal rotations throughout the fight, and keep an eye out for the half-Tulpa spawns. Remember to kill them with Mavuika’s Charged Attacks as soon as they spawn, before continuing with your normal attack combos.

    3) Skirk, Escoffier, Furina, Shenhe

Skirk is capable of brute-forcing most bosses in the game who don’t require extremely specific teams, and the same goes for the Hydro Tulpa. This team has plenty of off-field Cryo application, so you can easily freeze the half-Tulpas quickly without modifying Skirk’s normal rotations.

    Battlefield 3: The Open-Eyed

The Open-Eyed boss has a very unique mechanic, wherein it absorbs two of the elements you attack it with, and then deploys Elemental Stars of these two elements. Breaking these stars deals a massive amount of DMG to the boss. Hence, using teams that can trigger reactions that react favorably to the elements of the Elemental Stars is key to defeating this boss.

These are some of the best teams to use for this challenge:

    1) Zibai, Linnea, Columbina, Yanfei

For this team, fill the boss’ gauges with Pyro and Hydro (in any order). Take care of your rotations so that the boss doesn’t absorb the same element twice. Once the Elemental Stars are deployed, simply attack using Zibai’s normal rotations, as Lunar-Crystallize DMG can easily destroy the Pyro and Hydro Elemental Stars.

    2) Skirk, Escoffier, Furina, Mona

A Skirk team can also defeat The Open-Eyed boss, albeit using slightly different mechanics. Note that when using this team, both gauges need to be filled with Hydro. Try and use Skirk’s hybrid playstyle so as to maximize the amount of Cryo DMG she can deal when destroying the Hydro Elemental Stars. You can also equip Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers on Mona to buff Skirk’s DMG.

    3) Mavuika, Varesa, Chevreuse, Iansan

A Mavuika-Varesa dual DPS team can also work for this boss, as both these units have extremely strong damage potential. Fill one of the gauges with Electro and the other with Pyro, and alternate between using Mavuika and Varesa to destroy the corresponding Elemental Stars.
