Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield aimed a cheeky dig at his wife, Emily, on Friday. While discussing his personal life, Mayfield said he is enjoying being a father of two and blamed Emily for some of Kova Jade’s traits.
“It’s good, really good,” Mayfield said when asked about parenthood since his second child, Maverick, was born in April. “KoKo (Kova) was not exactly happy when we bought him home from the hospital. Took about a week; there was an adjustment period there, but it’s great now. She’s loving being a big sister, Maverick’s healthy, his mom is healthy, that’s all that matters.”
Thanks for the submission!
When a reporter suggested that Mayfield could be the best person to teach Kova to be a team player, the Buccaneers QB had a hilarious response.

“Yes, well, the attitude, I’m not really sure where she gets it from,” Mayfield said. “She’s got a lot of emotion, a lot of attitude, stubbornness. So, it’s gotta be Emily, it can’t be me.”
