Devin McCourty and the NFLPA have worked together plenty of times in McCourty’s NFL career by the nature of the business with McCourty as a player needing to follow the NFLPA’s direction at times. However, since McCourty’s retirement, the two have had to go out of their way to interact. McCourty’s recent statement enticed the NFLPA to do just that in regard to his opinion on the turf vs conventional grass field argument. On Thursday, the NFLPA responded to a Tuesday video clip in which McCourty spoke about the turf issue. Thanks for the submission! • “🗣️🗣️🗣️,” the account posted.…

Cardiologist and content creator Dr Sanjay Bhojraj says one thing has become increasingly clear to him: modern routines are often working directly against heart health. In a recent Instagram post, the longevity medicine physician and board-certified interventional cardiologist shared what he described as a realistic day-long routine — from 7 am to 9 pm — focused on lowering disease risk through small but consistent habits. “After 20+ years in cardiology, I can tell you this: Your heart does not love the modern workday,” he said, pointing to long hours of sitting, excessive caffeine intake, late-night emails, poor sleep, and irregular…
Giant underground neutrino detector brings scientists closer to cracking the neutrino puzzle
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) has achieved its first major scientific milestone. On June 10, Nature published the experiment’s debut physics result as a cover article. Using 59 days of validated data collected between August 26 and November 2, 2025, the international JUNO Collaboration, led by the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made highly precise measurements of two fundamental neutrino oscillation parameters. The analysis reduced the uncertainties in those measurements by a factor of 1.6 compared with the combined results from previous experiments conducted over several decades. Why Neutrinos Matter Neutrinos are among…

The world’s first trillionaire is a killer
Elon Musk’s SpaceX IPO will probably make him the richest person to ever walk the planet. And while his mountain of horrible personal conduct could fill multiple books, one fact in particular stands out: A year ago, Musk’s actions directly led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. He did it knowingly. And, worse — gleefully. This is not a serious person, but his abuse of the world is deadly serious. In the first months of President Donald Trump’s second term, the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) destroyed the US Agency for International Development, whose mission was a…
SpaceX IPO: Live updates on everything you need to know
SpaceX has captured the attention of media, investors, and the public for years now — interest propelled by the company’s reusable rocket launches, the rise of its Starlink satellite network, and of course, for its founder and CEO Elon Musk. But in its 24-year history, nothing quite compares to this initial public offering. Everyone seems to be interested, and perhaps it’s because of the sheer size of this IPO. The company priced its 555.6 million shares at $135 each to raise $75 billion, making it the largest IPO in history. At this price, the deal also looks set to make…
El Nino sets in, clouds kharif outlook
El Nino conditions have set in over the equatorial Pacific Ocean and could strengthen during the southwest monsoon season, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday, raising concerns over rainfall during the country’s largest sowing window. Historically, a strong El Nino, associated with weak and erratic rainfall and above-normal temperatures, has affected the output of key kharif crops, particularly oilseeds and pulses. The Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD), which can partly offset the impact of El Nino, is currently in a neutral phase and is expected to remain neutral through the four-month monsoon season, the weather office said. This has added…
Awful Indian tourist? Why better travel etiquette matters more than ever
The Awful Indian has become a tourist trope that is overtaking the Brainy Indian one that had gained currency thanks to all those nerdy techies. There is all-round criticism of loud, bumptious, littering, pilfering Indians who make popular tourist destinations unbearable for all other visitors as well as locals. Aghast Indian and foreign commentators have noted that many foreign countries are now putting restrictions on Indian tourists because of their unacceptable behaviour. The examples given are familiar. Passengers standing up and making a push for the doors even before aircraft dock at gates, unruly behaviour inside the cabin including passing food…
