    'A great one he is': Trump wishes Modi on record tenure; PM pitches stronger India-US ties

    NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming the longest serving elected Prime Minister of India. Responding to his message, PM Modi thanked him and sought deeper US-India ties.In a Truth Social post, Trump said that PM Modi is “strong, healthy and wise man” and will have many years of “greatness and success” ahead of him.

    “Congratulations to my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister – And a Great One he is!” Trump wrote.“He is a strong, healthy, and wise man, and will have many years of Greatness and Success ahead of him!” he added.PM Modi later shared the snapshot of Trump’s post on X. He thanked him for his “warm wishes” and expressed desire for deeper coordination between India and US in future.PM Modi wrote, “Thank you, President Trump, for your warm wishes. I look forward to working with you to further advance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, for the benefit of both our nations and the world.”
