    Former RCB star player clinches one-handed stunner during SKNP vs JKM CPL 2026 match [Watch]

    St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP) star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga took a stunning diving catch in the outfield during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 clash against the Jamaica Kingsmen at Warner Park. The Sri Lankan international produced the brilliant fielding effort to dismiss Usman Khan off Obed McCoy’s bowling in the first innings.

    After opting to bowl first, SKNP were off to a flier as Naseem Shah dismissed Keacy Carty for a golden duck to begin the innings. Wanindu Hasaranga also had a solid start to his spell, conceding just six runs in his first over while bowling in the powerplay. He then struck in the seventh over, picking up a catch off his own bowling to dismiss Kirk McKenzie.

    Hasaranga thrived on the field after playing a huge part in Usman Khan’s dismissal in the ninth over. Usman Khan tried to drive a full delivery on the up to the cover region, but could only pick out the Sri Lankan, who dove to his left to produce a stunner.

    The star bowler moved to his left and produced a dive at full stretch, and stuck out his left hand to complete the catch, with the ball just inches above the ground. Have a look at the stunning catch in the CPL 2026 clash right here:

    JKM were reduced to 63-4 after Hasaranga’s stunning fielding effort, but recovered to post 182-7 in the end as Saim Ayub produced a match-saving hundred. Wanindu Hasaranga finished with sublime figures of 2-18, including the wicket of opposition captain Rovman Powell.

    Despite not being well known for his athletic prowess on the field, Wanindu Hasaranga has taken his fair share of brilliant catches, including a couple in the CPL 2026 campaign now. Before his recent stunner against JKM, he claimed another stellar catch in the clash against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons (ABF).

    On that occasion, he ran at full speed, covering some serious ground, before putting in a dive to complete the catch at cover to end Shadab Khan’s blistering cameo.
