Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns had a classic WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at the 2026 SummerSlam premium live event. The Stamford-based promotion also billed this bout as the final chapter in The Shield saga. Unfortunately for The Visionary, he lost his match to The Tribal Chief.
After missing last week, The Architect is officially being advertised for the August 10 edition of RAW.
Thanks for the submission!
In a shocking turn of events, Rollins could kick off the show to make a jaw-dropping announcement that he is quitting Monday Night RAW, as he has been on the brand for too long and has done it all, winning the World Heavyweight Championship a couple of times, beating top stars, and much more.
The Visionary could claim that after losing to Roman Reigns, there’s not much that he can do on WWE’s flagship show. Hence, he has decided to switch brands from RAW to Friday Night SmackDown.
Rollins could instantly elevate the blue brand, already stacked in recent years with stars such as CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and a few more on the roster.
The company could use Seth to elevate the mid-card, where he could begin chasing the United States Championship, replicating what John Cena did in 2015, or could chase the Undisputed WWE Championship, where he could set his sights on the winner of a potential title match between Kevin Owens and CM Punk, while Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are busy in their personal feud.
That said, the angle proposed above is speculative, and nothing is confirmed as of now.
Triple H spoke highly of Seth Rollins’s WWE SummerSlam match
Rollins and Reigns indeed delivered a highly competitive singles match at SummerSlam. Speaking at the post-SummerSlam press conference, CCO Triple H said he had the pleasure of seeing Seth and Roman evolve into marquee players over a decade, and if it was the finale of the Shield saga, it got the ending it deserved.
“To watch the ascension and then be there first hand for a lot of it with Seth Rollins over the years to Roman Reigns then becoming you know, The Tribal Chief, the OTC, its been an incredible journey and tonight, if that was the final chapter, that absolutely delivered,” he said.
With 2026 Money in the Bank approaching, it will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and his WWE creative team have in store for Rollins next in the coming weeks.
