Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer is preparing for his second season with the franchise after an underwhelming start to his coaching career last year.
The Cowboys coach is seemingly leaving no stone unturned to get the most out of his players. Schottenheimer lashed out at his players during Saturday’s practice. He called the group together at the start of practice and shouted:

“Get your (expeltive) heads out of your (expeltive).”

Following Saturday’s practice, Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku explained the reason behind Schottenheimer’s outburst, saying that the coach wanted them to have a “productive day.”
“(He was) just reminding us that we have to have a productive day,” Ezeiruaku said. “It was nothing that really happened. It just felt as though he needed to do that as the head coach, and that’s what he did. I think we had a pretty good day.”
Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens said that the coach was “pushing guys to be better” at practice.

The Cowboys hired Christian Parker as their new defensive coordinator after an underwhelming 2025 season. However, the Cowboys DC is not big on fans recording their practice session.
“It’s weird,” Parker said. “Not a fan.”
However, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer isn’t bothered with Saturday’s practice being telecast on local network.
“You know me, I think at the end of the day, I don’t worry about that stuff too much,” Schottenheimer said. “I mean, we all have each other’s playbooks. We all know what we run.
“We have videos going back decades that we can pull up. It’s not like they’re showing it from a game standpoint; the camera’s on, it’s moving. Are there things you can get? Yeah. But we get the same thing. So that doesn’t bother me.”
