AEW star Rebel recently got diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She has been battling her illness with courage and is receiving immense support from her peers and fans worldwide.
One of Rebel’s biggest supporters is former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker. The two women were once on-screen allies. They have a strong real-life friendship, and the 35-year-old refuses to leave the Oklahoma native’s side.
Many popular stars have done the ice bucket challenge to pay tribute to Rebel. WWE legend Natalya and her husband Tyson Kidd did it as well. The former Women’s World Champion shared the video of her and the retired star doing it on Instagram.
“@tjwilson711 and I wanted to accept the Ice Bucket Challenge to support Rebel in her battle against ALS. ❤️ We are so proud of her for bringing awareness to this disease and we’re inspired by Rebel’s courage, strength and determination every single day. Also… somehow TJ managed to take the brunt of ALL the ice and water. 😂 You definitely took one for the team, TJ! 🤭😝😂….We love you, Rebel. Love, your Dungeon Fam❤️,” read the post’s caption.
Britt Baker commented on this clip with a few heart hands.
“🫶🫶🫶,” she wrote.

WWE icon Kevin Owens pays an emotional tribute to AEW star Rebel
Kevin Owens made an amazing return at SummerSlam 2026 after being out of action for more than a year due to injury. He gave an emotional shoutout to Rebel in the SummerSlam post-show.
“There’s somebody called Tanea Brooks, who’s known to wrestling fans as Rebel. She has not wrestled here, but some things are bigger than wrestling. She’s currently battling ALS, and the way she’s doing it is so incredible. I looked at her and what she was going through, and the way she powered through it, and it was truly inspirational.” he said.
Owens has a good relationship with many AEW stars. Perhaps Tony Khan will sign him someday. The promotion’s World Title will certainly look good on his shoulder. Only time will tell what the future holds for him.
